Makoto Miyakawa

Makoto was with IBM from 1980 for 30 years leading various international projects in Japan, US, India, Israel, etc.  For the first 10 years, he was engaged in bringing state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing technologies and VLSI design systems from US to Japan. Then, in the next 10 years, he was involved in developing high-end 3D graphics systems products for worldwide market using excellent Japanese technologies. In the last 10 years, he led a global team of emerging business opportunities such as Digital Media (wireless music distribution), Digital Convergence (3D Internet), etc.

Throughout the long career at IBM, he arranged a number of strategic alliances among different industries; consumer device manufacturers, telecommunication carriers, content and service providers. Makoto established Global Vision Ventures (GVV) in 2011 to provide international innovation broker services for global emerging business opportunities mainly focusing on peaceful industries such as health IT, automated agriculture, and media & entertainment business.
